Wall-mounted Blueprint flat "cages" are normally used where floor space is too scarce for a conventional floor-based cage.

Blueprint flat cages are used in new construction, or to correct faulty existing mechanical rooms. In some cases tenants may suffer from a past incorrect design/installation. The owner should consider salvaging any good aspects of the existing design and then retrofit the correct Blueprint flat cage solution.

The cage deplicted is limited because the low water cut-off, expansion tank, pressure reducing fill valve, backflow preventer and high limit control are not inluded. In most retrofit cases these componets were available and savagable. In new construction appications these items can be externally installed seperatly by others.
