This Cage is ideal for 7 zones of low temperature and hot water radiant floor heating. It provides microprocessor-based weather-responsive technology and zones are controlled through a relay board system controlled by individual thermostats. Each circulator (pump) delivers hot water heating to prescribed manifold for that zone. The entire Cage provides the same low hot water temperature each of the seven zones of radiant floor heating. No mixing strategy is included. This Cage derives energy from a condensing boiler. Condensing boilers can recieve any return temperature and safely condensate to an approved drain. Basically condensing boilers are design and built to condense and not corrode. Traditional boilers are cast-iron and will corrode fast if the return temperatures are too low. Since popular radiant heating is inherently low temperature; boiler protection is necessary. Cage deplicted is designed to work with a condensing boiler. If this Cage were to be connected with a cast-iron boiler it would require some form of mixing strategy to protect the boiler against low return temperatures. Cast-iron boilers require condensate protection with either 4-way motorized mixing or injection strategy.
